Description
We are excited to announce the State Bar of Arizona's Twelfth Annual CLE in the Garden, co-sponsored by the Intellectual Property Section, on March 5, 2026. This daylong, IP-intensive event will take place at the Desert Botanical Garden’s Dorrance Center and will feature several locally and nationally recognized speakers.
Registration includes breakfast, lunch, and access to the gardens. All attendees are invited to a Section Hosted Social Hour immediately following the program.

Aaron Keith Haar Related Seminars and Products
practices in the areas of intellectual property, internet law, defamation, and business litigation. He assists clients in all matters related to the protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights. With deep experience in trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, and domain names, Aaron provides strategic counsel to businesses and individuals navigating complex legal challenges. Aaron assists clients in securing trademark and copyright registrations, as well as guiding them, when necessary, through pre-litigation and litigation strategies, regularly appearing in state and federal courts across the country as well as before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and in Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Protocol (UDRP) proceedings. Aaron is currently the chair-elect of the Intellectual Property Section of the State Bar of Arizona and the vice president of the Phoenix Chapter of the Federal Bar Association.

Phil’s practice involves a wide variety of complex commercial litigation, including intellectual property litigation, water rights, Indian law, condemnation law, and general commercial litigation. After graduation from the ASU Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law in 2015, he clerked for the Hon. David G. Campbell of the United States District Court of the District of Arizona (2015–16) and the Hon. Andrew D. Hurwitz of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit (2016–17).

Eric is a past Chair of the Intellectual Property Law Section and the Appellate Practice Section of the State Bar of Arizona. He is a registered patent attorney and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers. He coauthors a monthly column in Arizona Attorney magazine. Eric received his J.D. and M.B.A. from the University of Chicago and his B.A. in Physics from Pomona College. Before joining private practice, Eric clerked for Judge Douglas H. Ginsburg on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit.

is a Member/Partner at the law firm of Dickinson Wright PLLC. She practices in the areas of domestic and international trademark and copyright prosecution, licensing and enforcement. Cindy also represents clients in a wide variety of disputes involving trademarks, copyrights, rights of publicity, and domain names, including the resolution of disputes over contested trademarks before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and enforcing clients’ intellectual property rights in court. She earned her J.D. from the University of California at Los Angeles School of Law and received her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Irvine. Cindy has held several significant leadership positions and is consistently recognized by industry publications and journals for her dedication to the legal profession.

Rachel helps clients overcome the challenges found in selecting, clearing, registering and enforcing their trademarks and copyrights in the U.S. and abroad. She represents clients of all sizes and across a variety of industries, including one of the world's top hotel chains and a major league sports team, as well as fitness and wellness influencers. She also provides counsel to local nonprofit organizations and start-ups. Rachel regularly performs domestic and foreign trademark clearance, prosecution, maintenance and portfolio management, and has represented clients in proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. She also routinely negotiates, drafts and counsels clients on intellectual property-related agreements, including consent agreements, assignments and licenses.

He was on the ground floor applying alternative dispute resolution (ADR) to the rapidly growing cannabis industry. Bob frequently lectures on law and technology issues both in law schools and professional organizations. He has authored more than 40 books and articles including the ABA Treatise, "Biotechnology and the Law" (Editor-in-Chief and coauthor). Bob is recognized as an organization leader, both statewide and nationally, serving as the chair of the board for the Arizona State University (ASU) Center for Law, Science, and Innovation, chair of the ADR Section of the Arizona State Bar Association, and member of the Intellectual Property Section Executive Council, among other positions. Bob worked as a litigator and regulatory negotiator for large law firms in Denver and Phoenix and was Senior Litigation Counsel for Motorola. In addition, he was a judicial law clerk for a Federal District judge and for a state supreme court chief justice. He received his BA, MA, and JD from the University of Nebraska, and his PhD from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Bob was the executive editor of the Nebraska Law Review and is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US).

She is certified through the IAPP as a Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP), Privacy Management (CIPM), and US and EU Privacy Law (CIPP/US, CIPP/E) and through ISACA as a data privacy solutions engineer (CDPSE). she obtained her law degree at the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at Arizona State University and her PhD in public affairs from the University of Texas at Dallas. She is currently in-house at Outschool, teaches privacy / data protection to law students, and serves on the board of several non-profit organizations.
