loves tax law! She is a CPA as well as a State Bar of Arizona Certified Tax Law Specialist. She is a Senior Attorney with Wiggam & Geer, a tax controversy law firm in Atlanta, Georgia. Giselle's practice is exclusively focused on tax controversies, with an emphasis on litigation. Her current caseload includes Section 831(b) microcaptives, syndicated conservation easements, capital gains treatment, hobby loss issues, innocent spouse claims, and estate valuation issues.
She graduated from Arizona State University College of Law in 2009 with her J.D. and from Northwestern University in 2010 with her LL.M. in Taxation. She is a recipient of the State Bar of Arizona's Tax Law Outstanding Student award, as well as a former chair of the Tax Section. She is also the past president of the Arizona State Board of Accountancy. She started her career with a Big-4 accounting firm in Phoenix, Arizona working on transactional matters before taking a leap into litigation and moving to a local law firm.
When not working on tax related matters, you can find her using her research skills to solve genealogy mysteries or attending historical reenactments and commemorative events. She is an officer of the Georgia Mayflower Society and active in her local chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was active with Arizona's Wills For Heroes and is hoping to expand Georgia's program beyond Atlanta into Middle Georgia.
