David's practice focuses on the representation of established and emerging companies and financial institutions in all facets of real estate acquisition, development, financing and leasing, including asset based lending, development planning, venture formation, strategic business planning, capital acquisition and financing, and complex contract negotiations. In addition to representing clients in connection with core real estate activities, David handles a wide range of other real estate and non-real estate related matters, including mergers and acquisitions, loan enforcement, foreclosure, secured (UCC Article 9) transactions, and Section 1031 exchanges. David earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration (with distinction) from the University of Arizona in 1984, with a double major in accounting and corporate finance. He graduated from Arizona State University College of Law (cum laude) in 1987. He holds the highest rating (AV) from Martindale-Hubbell and has been consistently named as a top real estate lawyer by Best Lawyers®, Chambers USA® and Southwest Super Lawyers®. For 20 years, David was a Real Estate Specialist, certified by the State Bar of Arizona Board of Legal Specialization. David was also a Member of the Executive Committee of the Arizona State Bar Real Estate Section.
