Claude Lonon


Claude Lonon serves as the Branch Chief of the Prevention team within the Office of Children’s Issues (CI). He started his career with the Department of State in 1998 as a Student Intern and has since held various roles, including Junior Visa Specialist, Passport Specialist, and Prevention Officer. Claude joined CI in 2009.
Claude leads a team of 10 officers and plays an active role in CI’s outreach and training efforts. He regularly conducts training sessions for domestic passport agencies, non-profit organizations, law enforcement agencies, and Congressional District offices. Drawing on his extensive experience, Claude is recognized as one of the office’s most skilled speakers and is dedicated to raising awareness about the critical issue of International Parental Child Abduction.
