Alexis Elizabeth Danneman
ALEXIS DANNEMAN is a litigator and partner in the Perkins Coie’s White Collar & Investigations practice. With a focus on appellate and high-stakes trial court issues, she represents companies, government institutions, campaigns, and individuals in their most complex and consequential legal matters. Alexis has been described by Chambers USA as an “exceptional appellate lawyer.” She has advocated for clients before the Arizona Supreme Court, U.S. Supreme Court, various U.S. courts of appeals, as well as state courts of appeals and courts of last resort. Additionally, she has argued multiple appeals at the Arizona Supreme Court and U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, among others. Alexis brings her constitutional and analytical experience to corporate entities and individuals who are targets of government investigations and enforcement proceedings. She has successfully defended clients against investigations and proceedings brought by the Arizona Attorney General’s Office, the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and the U.K. Serious Fraud Office. Her work on such matters often requires her to conduct confidential internal investigations for corporate clients, ranging from privately held firms to Fortune 500 public companies. Her clients rely on her judgment and deep knowledge investigating high-stakes issues involving the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), other antibribery laws, fraud, and employee misconduct. She has conducted on-the-ground investigations of these and other issues both domestically and abroad. In addition, Alexis has significant election and political law experience. She has litigated voting rights cases across the country, with a particular emphasis on Arizona elections. Her experience also includes post-election litigation, election contests, and related advice. Before joining Perkins Coie, Alexis served as a law clerk to the Hon. Michael D. Hawkins of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
