is a solo practitioner and municipal court Judge Pro Tem who has been licensed in Arizona since 2002, Iowa since 1998, and Nevada since 2017. He earned bachelor’s degrees in both Economics and Accounting from the University of Northern Iowa before earning a J.D. from the University of North Dakota and a Master’s Degree in Cybersecurity Law and Policy from the University of Maryland. Chad entered the profession in 1998 and six months later unseated a 12-year incumbent for the office of County Attorney in Worth County, Iowa, becoming one of the youngest lawyers in the state’s history to win an elected prosecutor’s office. Snowy winters and convicting bad guys took its toll so he emigrated to Arizona where he found warm winters (good) and a counsel position at a small real estate title company (not as much). After two years of reading loan documents Chad entered into a partnership with a personal injury attorney before striking out on his own in 2005 where he practiced general business law and found a niche litigating copyright infringements and advising clients on data privacy. He currently serves as a Judge Pro Tem on the Tempe Municipal Court and will begin serving as a Judge Pro Tem for Maricopa County Justice Courts in 2024. Mr. Anderson served on the Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Committee for 8 years with 2 years as Chair and on the Professional Responsibility (Ethics) Committee from 2011 to 2017. He co-chaired Spring Training for Lawyers twice, served on the Member Assistance Committee and currently mentors attorneys facing substance abuse issues.
