Richard Langerman is Of Counsel at the Friedl Richardson law firm.
In the last two years, Mr. Langerman has been involved in more than a dozen challenges to medical billing experts. Mr. Langerman is a former president of the Arizona Association for Justice. Mr. Langerman is the longest-serving member of the State Bar Civil Jury Instruction Committee and chaired the subcommittee which reviewed the RAJI Damages Instruction.
Dan Campbell concentrates his practice in the area of civil litigation and is regularly involved in the investigation and trial of complex insurance defense, SIU, personal injury, professional malpractice, construction, and commercial disputes. Prior to joining Koeller Nebeker Carlson Haluck, LLP Dan was the Senior Attorney for Commercial Litigation for The Greyhound Corporation (now known as Viad). In this capacity, he supervised and participated in commercial litigation for The Greyhound Corporation and its subsidiaries nationwide.
This experience led to the design and implementation of the corporate document retention policy and also involved participation in various preventative law programs.
As a result of his experience concerning preventative law issues, Dan has lectured nationwide on issues regarding the design and implementation of document retention programs, as well as issues concerning disclosure obligations under state and federal law and spoliation of evidence. He also acts as an arbitrator/mediator in civil litigation matters. He is a member of the ADR Section of the Maricopa County Bar Association.
Dan has been married to Kathy since 1976, they have two sons, Alex and Andy, and two wonderful daughters-in-law, Melissa and Ashley. They also have four grandchildren, Wyatt, Casey, Cole and Kora, and two bulldogs, Daisy and Violet. Outside of work, Kathy and Dan enjoy travel and spending time with their family.
Scott I. Palumbo is a co-founder of Palumbo Wolfe & Palumbo. Born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, Mr. Palumbo received his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame, where he was a letterman on the varsity football team. He went on to obtain his law degree from the Arizona State University Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law. He has since dedicated his legal career to defending the rights of personal injury victims and those who have lost loved ones to wrongful death.
Mr. Palumbo is a past President of the Arizona Association for Justice / Arizona Trial Lawyers Association and an Adjunct Professor of Law at Arizona State University Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law. Mr. Palumbo currently lives in Phoenix, AZ, with his wife Emily and their two wonderful children.
Mandi J. Karvis is a Shareholder in Wicker Smith's Phoenix office. She opened the office in 2018, and serves as the managing partner there, overseeing the day-today office operations as well as her busy litigation schedule.
Mandi joined the firm as an experienced trial attorney, having spent 14 years as a partner at another firm before joining Wicker Smith. The entirety of her career has been spent defending healthcare matters including medical malpractice, general liability for healthcare institutions, nursing home negligence, sexual impropriety and professional liability, and cases involving the Adult Protective Services Act (APSA), addressing allegations concerning the mistreatment of vulnerable adults.
Mandi regularly defends individual healthcare providers of all specialties, including chiropractors and other allied healthcare professionals, hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and home health care agencies. She serves as national counsel to several clients on matters involving inappropriate sexual touching in a professional setting, and has successfully tried cases in Arizona, Tennessee, California, and New York, in addition to her federal court practice.
A natural competitor, Mandi is enjoys the challenge of being a trial lawyer. She takes a big picture approach and evaluates each claim to find the best avenue to a successful outcome. Mandi has the desire and skill to try cases, but also has the judgment and discretion to know that not every case belongs in the courtroom. Her rapport with these Boards and their personnel, coupled with her understanding of their standards, enables her to guide clients effectively, striving to prevent or mitigate license and practice limitations.
Mandi is well-respected by her peers, and holds an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale Hubbell. She was recognized as a Southwest Super Lawyer Rising Star from 2012-2017, a Southwest Super Lawyer since 2018, and by the Best Lawyers in America in Medical Malpractice Law – Defendants and Personal Injury Litigation – Defendants since 2020. Mandi was born and raised in Illinois and moved to Arizona after law school in 2002. She lives in Phoenix with her husband Ray, who is a strength and conditioning coach, and their dogs. Between her work and family, Mandi enjoys traveling, reading, hiking, and starts most of her days at OrangeTheory Fitness.
Amy Hernandez received her law degree in 2003 from Drake University (with Honors). After law school she served as a law clerk at the Arizona Court of Appeals. Ms. Hernandez has served on the Civil Practice & Procedure Committee for the State Bar of Arizona and as the Chair of the State Bar Trial Practice Section. She is a former member of the Morris K. Udall Inn of Court and a former board member for the Arizona Association of Justice. Ms. Hernandez served in the United States Army from 1996 - 2000 as a military intelligence analyst. Ms. Hernandez owns Amy Hernandez Law, PLLC where she focuses her practice on plaintiff’s medical malpractice, legal malpractice, and general personal injury.
The Honorable Ted S. Reed serves as Presiding Judge of Superior Court in Coconino County. Judge Reed was elected to Division 1 beginning in 2019. Judge Reed served as a full-time judge pro tem for Superior Court in Coconino County, Division 6, from 2011 through 2018. Judge Reed is currently assigned a criminal caseload, and has previously been assigned domestic relations, civil, probate, and juvenile delinquency caseloads. Judge Reed has presided over Coconino County Recovery Court since 2013.
Judge Reed was raised on a working ranch in rural Alaska. He completed his undergraduate degree in Flagstaff at Northern Arizona University, majoring in Criminal Justice and Psychology. Judge Reed continued his education at the University of Utah, S.J. Quinney College of Law.
Upon graduating from law school, Judge Reed worked as a felony prosecutor at the Coconino County Attorney’s Office. After four years as a prosecutor, he went into private practice by founding the law firm of Reed, Antol & Hance, P.C. in Flagstaff, Arizona. While in private practice, he focused on criminal defense and family law. He served as a contract public defender in Coconino, Mohave and Yavapai Counties.
Judge Reed taught at Northern Arizona University from 2005 through 2009 in the Department of Criminal Justice and the U.S. Forest Service Law Enforcement Academy. Judge Reed taught in the subjects of Criminal Procedure, Criminal Law, Evidence, Trial Practice, and Constitutional Law.
Judge Reed serves as the chair of the Coconino County Criminal Justice Coordinating Council. Judge Reed is a member of the Arizona Judicial Council’s Committee on Superior Court and Committee on Probation.
Brian Snyder is a partner at Snyder & Wenner and is the immediate past President of the Arizona Trial Lawyers Association. He was honored with the 2023-2024 Trial Lawyer of the Year award by that organization, and was also named as the 2024 Medical Malpractice Lawyer of the Year by Best Lawyers. He has been featured on numerous news programs and podcasts for his record-setting verdicts in birth injury and medical malpractice cases against Banner Health and the Arizona VA. While Brian mostly handles birth injury and medical malpractice cases, he also handles a variety of personal injury matters, including trucking crash cases.
