Dr Thomas Brunner

Dr. Thomas (Tom) M. Brunner, Ph.D. is President of Dr. Brunner and Associates, a forensic, clinical, and talent development consulting firm serving clients nationwide. In practice for 20 years, his forensic work includes the following areas: family law, personal injury/wrongful death, civil rights, disability, fitness for duty, guardianship, educational law, and general mental health opinions.

Dr. Brunner has provided evaluations for organizations including the following: Pima and Maricopa Superior Court, Arizona State Board of Nursing, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Federal Aviation Administration, Department of Homeland Security, Tucson Electric Power, Discovery Channel and the University of Arizona Athletics Department. He has testified as a qualified expert in numerous cases over the last 15 years, and has been on numerous State Bar of Arizona and Arizona Association of Family and Conciliation Court (AZAFCC) speaker panels. He has been a member of the AZAFCC, the American Association of Forensic Psychology (AAFP) and the Society of Personality Psychology (SCP).

Dr. Brunner serves in both evaluator and treatment roles to children, parents and adults. He is the author of numerous book chapters and scientific peer-reviewed journal articles, and the senior author of a scientifically based measure that has been adapted into 14 languages around the world. He has written over 260 blogs and some have gone viral while being picked up by global news outlets such as He has received awards for his research and professional contributions, including from the Arizona Psychological Foundation and the Society for Personality Assessment. Dr. Brunner is currently completing a three year research project culminating in a book (Find Your Real Me: Career Guidance Making You Truly Free) announcing a career guidance method he has trademarked with the United States Patent and Trade Office (USPTO).
