Steve Guttell, after practicing employment and labor law for over 40 years, now devotes his time to being a full-time mediator and arbitrator.  Additionally, Steve teaches at Arizona Summit Law School employment, professional responsibility and ADR courses. Steve serves on the American Arbitration Association mediation and arbitration panels, the U.S. Postal Serve REDRESS mediation panel, and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority arbitration panel. Steve practiced with the U.S. Department of Labor in Washington, D.C. and New York City (1974-1981), Gust Rosenfeld PLC in Phoenix (1982-2011), and Walker & Peskind, PLLC in Scottsdale (2009-2011). Steve serves as the discrimination chapter editor and contributing author of the Arizona Employment Law Handbook published by the State Bar, Chair of the State Bar Fee Arbitration Committee, is on the ADR Section Council, is a board member of the Arizona Labor and Employment Relations Association, is a Board member of the Scottsdale Bar Association, is Chair of the City of Scottsdale Personnel Board, and served as president of the Arizona Association for Conflict Resolution (2011-2012).  Steve earned a Bachelor of Science degree (Accounting) from Northeastern University (1969) and received his Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from Suffolk University Law School (1974), where he was an editor of the Law Review. Steve is a veteran of the United States Military and served in the Republic of Vietnam.
