Stanley R Lerner


is a graduate of Franklin and Marshall College (BA 1972) and Gonzaga University School of Law (JD 1976). He is a solo practitioner whose focus since 1988 has been representing clients in claims and litigation for legal malpractice. Stan was admitted to the State Bar of Arizona in April 1978 and has remained a member in good standing since that time. He was also admitted to the District Court of Arizona and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. The issues/errors that Stan has litigated in the “case within the case” have been Contract; Estate Planning; Family Law; Landlord/Tenant; Personal Injury; Real Estate; Employer/Employee; and Fee Disgorgement. Stan was a Hearing Officer and later a panel member of the Presiding Disciplinary Judge, hearing matters related to violations of the Rules of Professional Conduct, which included review of attorney fees. Stan has also served as an expert in legal malpractice cases. On multiple occasions, he has presented information to members of the State Bar regarding legal malpractice issues. Stan’s interests include playing and listening to music, attending concerts, and collecting concert poster art and memorabilia.
