Mr. Blend's practice encompasses income and estate tax planning,income tax controversy and mergers and acquisitions negotiations. He has won several cases on behalf of taxpayers before the U.S. Tax Court. Before entering private practice, he was Assistant Branch Chief in the Tax Court Litigation Division of the Office of Chief Counsel of the I.R.S. in Washington, D.C. Listed in "The Best Lawyers in America", Mr. Blend is a Council Member of the ABA Section on Taxation and formerly served as chair of its Partnership Taxation Committee. He is also a member of the Editorial Board of "The Practical Lawyer" and member of the American College of Tax Counsel.
