Stanley L. Blend is Chief Executive Officer of and a partner in the San Antonio office of Oppenheimer, Blend, Harrison & Tate, Inc., where his practice encompasses income and estate tax planning, income tax controversy and mergers and acquisition negotiations. He has won several cases on behalf of taxpayers before the U.S. Tax Court. Mr. Blend is the Chair-Elect of the American Bar Association Section on Taxation and formerly served as Chair of its Partnership Taxation Committee. He has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America and is a member of the Editorial Board of The Practical Lawyer. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Tax Counsel. Before entering private practice, he was Assistant Branch Chief in the Tax Court Litigation Division of the Office of Chief Counsel of the I.R.S. in Washington, D.C. Mr. Blend received his B.A. from Tulane University, his J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center, and his LL.M. in tax from Georgetown University Law Center.
