is the managing partner at Fernandez Watts Law, PLLC, an employment law focused law firm - For Workers, For Women. Shayna earned her B.A. in Human Biology from Stanford University, her M. Ed. from the University of Texas Pan American in Curriculum and Instruction, and her J.D. from the University of Arizona. Shayna is also a graduate of the State Bar Leadership Institute and served on the State Bar Appointments Committee. Shayna is the President of Los Abogados, a Trustee for the Arizona Science Center, teaches the Litigation Experience at ASU Law, and serves on the Local Rules Committee for the Arizona District Court. Prior to opening her own firm, Shayna worked at Bryan Cave LLP, Ballard Spahr LLP, and Rusing Lopez & Lizardi. Prior to being a lawyer, Shayna was a Teacher, Department Head, and Student Government sponsor at Sauceda Middle School with Teach for America. Her hidden talent is playing the alto saxophone, which she did in middle school and high school marching band, earning 1st chair in state and being a drum major. When she is not working, Shayna can be found on the side of a baseball field with her husband being the team DJ for her 2 sons.
