ROGER L. COHEN is a shareholder in Jaburg & Wilk, P.C., practicing in the firm’s litigation and transactions departments. His primary areas of practice include commercial litigation and dispute resolution, escrow and broker liability defense, complex collections, secured transactions and business mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Cohen has published articles and spoken on a number of topics, including the Arizona homestead and judgment lien statutes, Articles 2 and 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code, and attorney conflicts and misconduct. He has been a member of the State Bar Fee Arbitration Committee since 1999. He received his B.A. cum laude from Claremont McKenna College. He received his J.D., with honors, and graduated as a member of the Order of the Coif, from George Washington University Law School in 1975. He served as law clerk to the Hon. James Duke Cameron, then chief justice of the Arizona Supreme Court, in 1975-1976. Mr. Cohen is a member of the State Bar of Arizona and the State Bar of California and is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the District of Arizona and the Central District of California, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. He has argued to the Arizona Supreme Court, the Arizona Court of Appeals, the California Court of Appeals and the Ninth Circuit, and has been counsel of record in a number of published appellate decisions.
