Robert DiCarlo

Dr. Robert DiCarlo is a licensed forensic and counseling psychologist in Arizona, specializing in family court matters through his private practice in the Phoenix area. His work focuses on therapeutic interventions and reunification for parent-child contact issues, with an emphasis on outcome-informed approaches. As an additional co-owner of Intensive Family Transformations, PLLC, Arizona’s first intensive reunification program, Dr. DiCarlo is an expert in parent-child contact dynamics, parenting time, and custody-related matters. He is also highly experienced in conducting balanced evaluations for custody and parental fitness cases, working compassionately with high-conflict co-parenting situations and therapeutic needs of families, adults, adolescents, and children.

Dr. DiCarlo has been appointed as an expert by Arizona’s Superior Courts in over 100 cases across Maricopa, Pima, Coconino, and Yavapai counties. His roles include Therapeutic Interventionist (TI), Court-Appointed Behavioral Interventionist (COBI), Independent Psychological Evaluator, and other specialized positions. Each year, he supports approximately 12 new families through TI/COBI services and completes 5-10 custody evaluations or expert reports. Dr. DiCarlo frequently presents to professional organizations on his areas of expertise and is a past President of the Arizona Chapter of the Association of Family & Conciliation Courts (AFCC).
