Richard Travis


Richard Travis is a principal at Triadvocates.  He represents multiple clients across various business lines for the firm. He has extensive experience with infrastructure developments, transportation projects, education issues, and building coalitions for complex political challenges. Richard has advocated at our nation's capitol, the state capitol, county seats, city halls and tribal councils to pursue success for our clients. For the past two decades, Richard has worked on public policy issues in Arizona with both the public and the private sector. Richard served in all three branches of state government at an executive level where he was a Staff Director in the Arizona House of Representatives, a Government Relations Officer for the Arizona Supreme Court, a Special Assistant Attorney General, and as Deputy Director at the Arizona Department of Transportation. After his state service, Richard spent five years in the private sector assisting clients with their federal, state, and local government relation needs before joining Triadvocates.  Richard and his wife have four active sons that keep them busy outside of the office. When not engaged in family activities, Richard enjoys hiking, old movies and playing golf. Richard has served on several boards in the community and is currently the Vice Chairman of the ARC of Arizona, a non-profit organization that advocates for people with developmental disabilities.
