RICHARD G. "RICK" ERICKSON is a partner in the Phoenix office of Snell & Wilmer, LLP. He helps to lead Snell & Wilmer's construction litigation practice group, which is rated nationally as Tier 1 by U.S. News & World Report-Best Lawyers. Inhis litigation practice, Rick represents owners, developers, contractors, subcontractors and design professionals in state and federal courts, mediation, arbitration and administrative tribunals. He also helps clients with their construction transactions, negotiating and drafting agreements, general conditions and corresponding project documents. Since 2007 he has served on the State Bar Construction Section Executive Council, and he has been its Chair-Elect since 2014. Rick graduated from the University of Arizona in 1990 and earned his law degree from University of The Pacific in 1998 after serving for four years as an Infantry Officer in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was certified as a military lawyer in 2002, and he currently serves as a Staff Judge Advocate in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves.
