Michelle Carson

Judge Michelle Carson was first appointed to the Maricopa County Superior Court in January 2018 to serve as a Maricopa County Superior Court Commissioner. In April 2023, Judge Carson was appointed as a Maricopa County Superior Court Judge and currently presides over a family court calendar. During her time on the bench as a judge, commissioner, and Judge Pro Tem, Judge Carson has presided over criminal, civil, juvenile, ADR, and family law calendars.

      Prior to her appointment to the bench, Judge Carson focused her career on courtroom litigation as a trial attorney representing adult clients in criminal court and children in criminal, juvenile, and family court as a Best Interest Attorney and Guardian Ad Litem. Judge Carson has extensive courtroom experience as a litigator and has tried hundreds of cases to juries and the bench.
