Michael D Gordon


has served as a Superior Court Judge since 2005 and plans to retire in the spring of 2026, marking just over 20 years on the bench. He earned his law degree from the University of Arizona in 1989 after completing his undergraduate studies at Arizona State University in 1985. Judge Gordon’s legal career includes private practice with Lewis and Roca (1991–1993) and Quarles & Brady (1999–2000), as well as eight years as an Assistant Federal Public Defender (1993–1998). He also has a background in legal education, having served as a visiting associate professor at the ASU Civil Law Clinic (1998–1999) and as an assistant professor of law at the University of Mississippi School of Law (2000–2001).
