Pima County Public Defender's Office


is the Pima County Public Defender. She graduated from the University of Arizona College of Law and during law school worked as a law clerk at the Federal Public Defender. Upon graduation, she clerked for the Honorable Deborah Bernini at the Pima County Superior Court. Megan has worked at the Pima County Public Defender's Office since 2011, as a trial attorney, attorney supervisor, and Chief Assistant Public Defender. She was appointed to the position of Chief Public Defender by the Pima County Board of Supervisors in 2022. She was appointed to the Arizona Criminal Justice Commission as the first public defender member in 2025. Outside of her legal career, Megan is the proud mom of three boys and an avid University of Arizona basketball fan.
