Maureen Gaughan


Maureen Gaughan graduated from Gonzaga University School of Law in 1985. Her practice area focused on representing clients in commercial litigation and in bankruptcy, both as a debtor and creditor lawyer. In 1993, she was appointed to the Chapter 7 Panel Trustees. She is regularly appointed as a Chapter 11 Trustee, Examiner and Mediator. She has extensive experience in all aspects of bankruptcy estate management, including the successful operation and turnaround of businesses, including real estate companies and restaurants, the marketing

and sale of real estate nationwide and has spearheaded the settlement of complex and litigious disputes. She also has been appointed to several large Ponzi scheme cases and conducted forensic analysis, including the investigation and discovery of hidden assets, fraud, preferences and fraudulent transfers. Ms. Gaughan is a sole practitioner and is admitted to practice before all state and federal courts in Arizona and before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Ms. Gaughan is a member of the Maricopa County Bar Association, the State Bar of Arizona (Bankruptcy section) and is a member of the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees and the American Bankruptcy Institute.
