Maria L. Bahr is the Director of the Lawyer Assistance Programs for the State Bar of Arizona. She joined the State Bar in the summer of 2003,
serving as staff bar counsel, and became Director of the Lawyer Assistance Programs in January 2004. Maria currently oversees both the Law Office
Management Assistance Program (LOMAP) and the Member Assistance Program (MAP). A graduate of Tempe High School, Maria received her B.A. from Harvard University, and her J.D. from U.C.L.A. She clerked for the Alaska State Court of Appeals, and spent over ten years in Alaska working in private practice and with the Public Defender Agency doing trial and appellate work. Maria also serves as a judge pro temp for the City of Mesa.
