Luay Shayya
Luay Shayya, MD is a triple board-certified neurologist with specialized expertise in traumatic brain injury (TBI), neuromuscular medicine, and general neurology. As the founder of Neurology Consultants of Arizona and a practicing consultant at HonorHealth, Dr. Shayya offers extensive clinical experience in the evaluation and management of complex neurological conditions including concussion, neuropathy, vertigo, migraine, multiple sclerosis, stroke, and dementia.
Dr. Shayya holds leadership roles in graduate medical education, serving as Director of the Neurology Medicine Rotation at HonorHealth's Family Practice Residency Program and as an adjunct or clinical faculty member at multiple institutions including Arizona State University and the University of Arizona College of Medicine. He regularly educates medical students, residents, and legal professionals, and has been an invited speaker for numerous law firm conferences and insurance groups on topics such as concussion, TBI, dizziness, and impairment.
Recognized as a “Top Doc” by Phoenix Magazine across multiple years, Dr. Shayya is also engaged in clinical research as a sub-investigator in trials involving migraine treatment. His academic work includes peer-reviewed publications in Muscle & Nerve, Neurology Clinical Practice, and Brain and Cognition. His medicolegal consulting practice includes expert testimony, impairment ratings, and record reviews, drawing on his credentials as a certified ImPACT consultant and certified impairment rater.
