Kyle A Bryson


has served as Pima County presiding judge since July 1, 2015. Since his appointment as a retained judge in March 2010, Judge Bryson has served as associate presiding judge, presiding judge of both the probate and family law divisions, and as a member of the civil bench.
Prior to his appointment to Division 5, Judge Bryson served as court commissioner and judge pro tempore for over nine years, presiding over civil, criminal, family law and probate matters. During his over 20 years on the bench, he has also served and continues to serve on various committees, workgroups and commissions on both the state and local levels. He is a frequent speaker to the bench, the bar, and the public on topics including the role, selection and retention of the judiciary, ethics, professionalism, courthouse security and safety, procedural rules, substantive and constitutional law, and leadership.
