John Balentine

Van O'Steen and Partners

John is a partner in the Tucson practice of Van O'Steen and Partners. He joined the firm in 1987, and works in the areas of personal injury, defective products and medical malpractice.
John graduated from the Uniersity of Arizona in 1970 (B.S.) and U of A College of Law in 1972 (J.D.). He was admitted to the legal academic honorary society Order of the Coif and served as an editor on the University of Arizona Law Review.
He was admitted to to the State Bar of Arizona in 1972 and is admitted to practice in the Arizona Supreme Court, the United States District Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
John is a member of the Arizona Trial Lawyers Association, the Pima County Bar Association, and the Volunteer Lawyer Program of Southern Arizona Legal Aid Society. He also serves as a trustee of the State Bar of Arizona Client Protection Fund. John was a former member of the State Bar of Arizona Committee on Professional Responsibility.
John is av-rated (the highest rating) by the prestigious Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory. He also was voted -- by other lawyers -- for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America Consumer Guide.
John is an Arizona native. He was born in Prescott in 1947.
