Joel Nomkin has decades of experience in appellate practice and commercial litigation with Perkins Coie. He has served as Managing Partner of the firm’s Phoenix office, as a member of the firmwide Management Committee, and has chaired its Appeals, Issues, and Strategy practice group. He is a Fellow in the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers, a member of the American Law Institute, and previously served in the U.S. Department of Justice, both as a trial attorney in the Civil Rights Division and on the Appellate Staff of the Civil Division. In addition to his appellate practice, Joel also litigates cases at the trial level on business and public law issues. He teaches the course on Federal Courts as an Adjunct Professor at ASU’s law school.
