HELEN R. DAVIS is a Senior Member and the past President and Chair of The Cavanagh Law Firm in Phoenix, Arizona, where she has practiced exclusively in the area of family law for over 25 years. Helen is Adjunct Faculty at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. Helen is certified as a Family Law Specialist by the State Bar of Arizona, is a Fellow of The American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, is a Fellow of the International Academy of Family Lawyers, and is a Diplomate of The American College of Family Law Trial Lawyers. Helen has been AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell since 2007, is listed in Best Lawyers in America and Best Lawyers in Arizona (since 2013), is a Southwest SuperLawyer (since 2015), was named by SuperLawyers as one of the top 25 women attorneys in Arizona (since 2021) and one of the top 50 lawyers in Arizona (2022-2024), has been honored as one of the Top 100 Lawyers in Arizona by AZBusiness (since 2021), and is named as one of Arizona’s Finest Lawyers among other honors. Helen has given back to the community by writing and publishing articles on family law topics; to the Bar by lecturing on all manner of complex financial, custody and ethical topics; and serving now and in the past on numerous Bar and Supreme Court Committees, including through appointment by former Governor Janet Napolitano to a legislative committee. Helen also served the Chandler community by serving as a Board Member on the Community Board of the East Valley Dignity Health Hospitals from 2012 through 2022 and 2024 through 2025 and also served periodically as liaison to the St. Joseph’s Hospital Board.
