Glynnis Zieman
Glynnis Zieman, MD, MPH, FAAN, FAHS, FRSPH is the medical director of the Barrow Brain Injury & Sports Neurology Center and a neurologist in the Lewis Headache Center at Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix, Arizona. She also serves as the program director for the Sports Neurology & Traumatic Brain Injury fellowship, as well as the medical director of both the Domestic Violence Brain Injury Program and the Barrow Concussion Network. She is board certified in adult neurology and brain injury medicine by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, as well as headache medicine by the United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties.
Dr. Zieman received her medical degree from the University of Missouri—Kansas City School of Medicine. She completed her neurology residency as well as fellowships in neuro-oncology and sports neurology and traumatic brain injury at Barrow. She serves as an unaffiliated neurotrauma consultant for the National Football League and is the lead sports neurology consultant for Arizona State University, which includes sideline concussion coverage for football, women’s soccer, men’s ice hockey and women’s lacrosse teams.
