Edwin Slade is the Administrative Counsel (General Counsel) for the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality. He provides legal support to the Director's Office and Water, Air, and Waste programs, serves on the Agency's Executive Leadership Team, oversees the Agency compliance management process, and coordinates the Agency's work with the Attorney General's Office to resolve cases and provide legal advice. Prior to rejoining ADEQ in 2017, Edwin was an Arizona Assistant Attorney General in the Natural Resources Section, and a high school chemistry teacher with Teach For America. He attended law school at the University of Arizona, where he helped to start the environmental law certificate program. Edwin is originally from eastern Pennsylvania, and enjoys the Arizona outdoors with his family.
