Eddward P Ballinger Jr

United States Bankruptcy Court

Jr., was sworn in as a U.S. Bankruptcy Judge on Valentine's/Arizona Statehood Day, 2013. Prior to his appointment, he was an Arizona Superior Court Judge, serving at various times as that court's Associate Presiding Judge and the Presiding Judge of the Criminal and Juvenile courts. In addition, the Arizona Supreme Court assigned him to preside over both the Gila River Stream Adjudication and the Little Colorado River Adjudication, which comprise two of the largest lawsuits ever litigated in the state court system.

Judge Ballinger received his J.D. and M.B.A. degrees from Ohio State University and a Master's in Law from New York University. Prior to his appointment to the bench he was a partner in the law firm of Brown & Bain, P.A., where his practice focused on civil litigation and business reorganizations.

In his spare time, Judge Ballinger enjoys eating (a lot), exercising (alittle), reading biographies of great Americans, and "virtually coaching" college football. Oh, and he is starting to play Pickleball.
