DOUGLAS A. JORDEN is the founding member of Jorden Law Firm, P.C. He was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas, received undergraduate (1972) and law (1976) degrees from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas, and is admitted to practice law in Arizona, Arkansas, California and Colorado.

Mr. Jorden was Town Attorney for the Town of Paradise Valley, Arizona, from 1978 to 1982 and has been in private practice since 1982. His practice now emphasizes land use and zoning, municipal law, environmental regulation, real estate transactions and Indian law. He is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, United States Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit and United States District Court for the District of Arizona, and is a member of the State Bar of Arizona, Arkansas Bar Association, Maricopa County Bar Association, American Planning Association, and Arizona Planning Association.

Mr. Jorden has been a member of the City of Phoenix Paradise Valley Village Planning Committee and has served as Zoning Hearing Officer for the City of Phoenix and Maricopa County. Mr. Jorden is a past chair of the City of Phoenix Environmental Quality Commission and the State Bar Continuing Legal Education Committee. He is on the Regional Advisory Board of the Rocky Mountain Land Use Institute based in Denver, Colorado.

Mr. Jorden has lectured on land use and environmental issues on behalf of the State Bar of Arizona, Arizona Planning Association, the League of Arizona Cities and Towns, the Arizona Department of Commerce and the Rocky Mountain Land Use Institute.
