Don C Stevens


is a mediator in private practice in Phoenix, Arizona. He is currently living and practicing in Cottonwood, Arizona and has his own firm, Don Stevens P.C. He has over forty years of civil trial experience, in state and federal courts throughout Arizona, He has been AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell for over 20 years. Don has had advanced mediation training, including two intensive annual programs presented by the Strauss Institute for Dispute Resolution, located at Pepperdine University, Malibu California, as well as other advanced mediation training from the American Bar Association. Don has successfully mediated a wide variety of matters from automobile and other vehicle accidents to construction defect litigation, civil rights, employment discrimination, insurance coverage and bad faith, and complex partnership dissolutions. Don is also available for arbitrations, special master appointments and other forms of alternative dispute resolution. He served as judge pro tem in Yavapai County for approximately five years with a full-time litigation and settlement conference calendar. Don's extensive trial experience allows him to bring a fresh perspective to each dispute regarding risks and potential outcomes. His enthusiasm and creative solutions allow the parties to find a common ground for agreement. He has a strong balanced approach between respect for the process and the independence of the parties, as well as creative methods for helping the parties move from initial positions to resolution.
