Hon. Daniel R Huff


Honorable Dan Huff has served as a Commissioner for Pima County Superior Court since June 2024, and he is currently assigned to the family law division of the Court. Prior to his bench appointment, Judge Huff practiced in family law, juvenile law, adoptions, estate planning, and appellate law in private practice, beginning in 2017. He also served as outside counsel for the Arizona Attorney General in both trial and appellate matters involving the Department of Child Safety. Prior to entering private practice, Judge Huff served as an Assistant Attorney General for the Arizona Attorney General’s Office where he led a trial team of attorneys and worked in the appeals unit handling juvenile law matters, including those involving criminal conduct. Judge Huff was appointed as a mediator, best interest attorney, and court appointed advisor on family law cases often involving high conflict. He also served as a judge pro tempore for the Court for many years in addition to working on various court committees and workgroups. Judge Huff serves on the State Bar’s newly created Access to Justice Committee, the board of local non-profit Tucson Thrives, and he participates in Life Beyond the Books, engaging with middle school students regarding civic responsibility and the justice system. Judge Huff grew up in Tucson and he and his wife, Laura, are the proud parents of two energetic children.
