Dan Cavett graduated from Emory University and the University of Arizona College of Law where he was a member of the Law Review and the Order of the Coif. He served four years as an Air Force JAG Officer during Vietnam trying court martials in Southeast Asia. He began practicing in Tucson in 1975 doing general insurance defense trying accident and products liability cases. For over 40 years, his practice has been limited to the defense of physicians, hospitals, and healthcare providers in medical malpractice cases, representing healthcare providers before the State regulatory agencies and hospital credentialing committees, and representing a few plaintiffs. He is now a mediator, a Superior Court Judge Pro Tem, and still represents healthcare professionals before State Regulatory agencies and credentialing committees. He is a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers, a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, and past President of the Tucson Chapter, an AV rated lawyer by Martindale-Hubbell for over 35 years, and has been listed in Super Lawyers of the Southwest, and listed in Best Lawyers in America for over 30 years.
