Amanda Rusing


Amanda Rusing is the Government Relations Associate for Dorn Policy Group. She is primarily responsible for supporting Dorn Policy Group’s government affairs through lobbying, business development and client relations at the state and municipal level. She began her career in public policy with internships at a non-profit political research organization, Governor Brewer’s Office of Equal Opportunity, and the Arizona Department of Administration. In November of 2010 she accepted a position on Legislative Staff of the State Senate. While working under the Appropriations Chairman, she was responsible for monitoring and tracking legislation, managing constituent needs, and coordinating with legislative and executive staff, agencies, and interest groups. Amanda joined the Dorn Policy Group in November of 2012. She has focused primarily on insurance, energy, planning and general business issues at the state capitol. Amanda earned her Bachelor’s at the University of Arizona in Political Science in 2009. In May of 2012 she completed a Master’s in Public Administration from Arizona State University. She serves on the Scottsdale Cultural Council’s young professionals board, is a member of the Phoenix Chamber of Commerce’s Valley Young Professionals, and works with the alumni advocacy groups from both University of Arizona and Arizona State University.
