Alex E Navidad

Alex E. Navidad, PLC

is a City of Phoenix Municipal Court judge. Previously, he was an attorney in private practice, focusing on criminal defense, immigration and forfeiture. Alex is a former Assistant Federal Public Defender for the District of Arizona and a former Public Defender for Maricopa County. Alex was a member of the State Bar’s Standing Appointments Committee, a member and chair of the State Bar Criminal Justice Section, the State Bar Criminal Rules Committee, a member and chair of the City of Phoenix Licensing Appeals Board and a Commissioner on the Phoenix Citizen’s Transportation Committee. Alex has spent the last 20 years teaching trial skill seminars in Arizona and internationally as part of ABA, USAID, CWAG and other private programs responsible for training lawyers in Latin America. Alex is a former board member and President of the Los Abogados Foundation and Los Abogados (1997-2009 and 2011-2014, 2017) and a former president (2005). He received his J.D. from Arizona State University and a B.A. in Spanish and Law and Society from U.C. Santa Barbara. He lives in South Phoenix and is an avid hockey player and fan.
