Description

Join us for our biennial overview of common traffic offenses issues.  Topics will include defensive driving and points; legislative update; commercial vehicle enforcement; civil traffic tickets; and leaving the scene of an accident.

Pima County Attorney's Office


Daniel S. Jurkowitz is the Assistant Chief Civil Deputy in the Pima County Attorney’s Office Civil Division and serves on the State Bar of Arizona's Professionalism Advisory Council. He also currently serves as a Superior Court Judge Pro Tempore, on the faculty of The National Judicial College, is a past president of the Pima County Bar Association and the Pima County Bar Foundation, and is a recipient of the State Bar of Arizona's Outstanding In-House Counsel of the Year award. Previously, he served as Chair of the State Bar of Arizona's Professionalism Committee, an Administrative Law Judge for the Arizona Department of Transportation, a Justice of the Peace Pro Tempore, a Town Magistrate Pro Tempore, and a Hearing Officer, Settlement Officer, and Attorney Discipline Hearing Panel Member for the Arizona Supreme Court. He began his career as a prosecutor with the Pima County Attorney’s Office Criminal Division and is a graduate of the University of Arizona College of Law.

Law Office of Alec Hanus


Alec Hanus is an attorney in Tucson, Arizona and a graduate of the University of Arizona College of Law. Mr. Hanus primarily practices in the area of criminal traffic law. He has litigated criminal traffic cases throughout Southern Arizona. Before opening his own firm, he worked for a judge in Pima County Superior Court and prosecuted cases at the Pima County Attorney's Office. Mr. Hanus has practiced law for approximately 20 years.


Matthew A Walker Related Seminars and Products


Matthew Walker has been a prosecutor with the City of Tucson since 2017, where his practice focuses principally on motions, appeals, and DUI law. Before that, he spent several years working in civil law, as well as a year working on felony criminal appellate matters with the Clark County District Attorney's Office in Nevada. He is a Tucson native and a double Arizona Wildcat, and when he is not working he enjoys spending time with his wife, two daughters, and two bad dogs.


Sgt. Troy Pancost Related Seminars and Products


Sergeant Troy Pancost has been a police officer in the state of Arizona for 10 years. He started at the Tucson Police Department for 3 years and has done 7 years with DPS. Sgt. Pancost was recently promoted to the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Tucson Squad about a year and a half ago.
