Description
The Respect for Marriage Act was signed into law by President Joe Biden on December 13, 2022. It is a rare bipartisan accomplishment designed to protect both religious and LGBTQ+ communities. In this CLE presentation, Professor Carl Esbeck will provide an overview of the Respect for Marriage Act, describe the unique back story leading up to this bipartisan legislation, and explain the protections the Respect for Marriage Act affords to LGBTQ+ and religious communities.
