Description

Join us for a discussion on Subchapter V bankruptcies. During the first half of the program, we will cover expanded powers of the Subchapter V trustee. In the second half, we will discuss contested plan confirmation, dispossession of debtors, conversions and dismissals.

is a sole practitioner whose practice focuses on bankruptcy law, creditors’ rights and commercial litigation. Mr. Cotterman graduated magna cum laude from Arizona State University College of Law (J.D., 1991) where he received the Alumni Association Award as the Outstanding Graduate of the College of Law. Mr. Cotterman is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, and has lectured at various seminars regarding bankruptcy law, judgment enforcement, provisional remedies, and creditors’ rights. Mr. Cotterman has over 30 years of experience representing debtors, unsecured and secured creditors, and creditors committees in Chapter 11 cases, along with representation of both debtors and creditors in Chapter 7 and 13 cases, and representing creditors in Chapter 15 cross-border insolvency proceedings. Since 2020, Mr. Cotterman has also been one of the SubChapter V Trustees for the District of Arizona.

has been practicing for 23 years, almost exclusively specializing in the practice of bankruptcy. He is currently a trial attorney with the Office of the United States Trustee where he concentrates on a full spectrum of bankruptcy issues concerning consumer and commercial bankruptcy law. Mr. Bernatavicius was a member of a steering committee that formed the Arizona Bankruptcy American Inn of Court. He is a former President of the Inn and remains an active member of the Inn participating at the Master level. Mr. Bernatavicius was a Board Member of the Phoenix Chapter of the Federal Bar Association from 2018 to 2022 where he served as the Chair of the Diversity & Inclusion Committee for the section. Mr. Bernatavicius has twice chaired the Bankruptcy Section Seminar for the Arizona State Bar and is currently the United States Trustee liaison to the Bankruptcy Executive Committee for the Arizona State Bar. Mr. Bernatavicius enjoys speaking on wide array of commercial, consumer and ethical issues in bankruptcy and volunteering his time on special projects within his bankruptcy bar.

is a shareholder in the Tucson office of DeConcini McDonald Yetwin & Lacy, P.C. where she focuses her practice on bankruptcy and creditors' rights. Ms. Corrales has extensive experience in bankruptcy law and has been appointed to serve as a Subchapter V of Chapter 11 panel trustee for the District of Arizona. She is Board Certified in Consumer Bankruptcy Law by the American Board of Certification and is certified as a Bankruptcy Specialist by the Arizona Board of Legal Specialization. is a partner in Snell & Wilmer's Bankruptcy and Reorganization group. She represents creditors, debtors and other interested parties in complex commercial bankruptcy matters and related litigation. She has significant experience representing financial institutions. Jill received her B.A. in Journalism from The University of Arizona followed by her J.D. from the University's James E. Rogers College of Law.
