This timely and practical training will help defense and prosecuting attorneys better understand how to utilize psychosexual evaluations. Topics will include:
• An overview of the different types of psychosexual evaluations
• The strengths and weaknesses of a variety of evaluation tools - projectives, risk actuarials, viewing-time measures, polygraph, and plethysmograph
• Utilizing evaluations for pretrial negotiation, character-trait testimony in trial, and/or sentencing post-conviction
