Description

Pursuant to the mandate of Rule 10(E)(2) of the Arizona Rules of Probate Procedure, all court-appointed attorneys and guardians ad litem must complete a subsequent training every five years after completing the initial training.

Experienced practitioners will lead discussions on the issues court-appointed attorneys (CAC) and guardians ad litem (GAL) are facing.

 

Topics will include: 

 

       • The role of the CAC in litigation

       • The CAC as the best interest attorney

       • The new contact statute

       • The relationship between Title 14 and Title 36 for mental health issues

"This is supposed to be a compulsory 5 year update. This program is from 2017. This is now 2023. I have a 5 year requirement to "update" but there is no new information."
