Description
Hackers view lawyers as easy marks. We have heard horror stories about data breaches and liability for failing to protect client data. This program goes beyond merely showing a problem exists, and examines specific action items and strategies lawyers can take to protect their clients and themselves. The expert panelists will discuss such issues as cyber insurance for law firms, incident and breach response planning, security assessments and penetration testing, and security awareness training.
Participants will learn:
- Actionable strategies and tools for incident and breach response planning for law firms and other organizations.
- How cyber insurance fits into an overall risk management plan, and what lawyers can expect in the cyber insurance application process.
- Implementing "best practices" to prepare for client audits, law firm cybersecurity policies & procedures, security assessments, penetration testing, and security awareness training.
- Lawyers' ethical and legal duties and violations related to cybersecurity.
