represents plaintiffs and defendants in commercial disputes, personal injury matters, and general civil litigation.
An Associate of the American Board of Trial Advocates, Dan has practiced law since 1996. He has first-chair experience in more than 30 state and federal civil jury trials and more than 250 arbitration hearings. Areas of practice include civil conspiracy, contract disputes, insurance bad faith, insurance coverage, legal malpractice, medical malpractice, personal injury, and wrongful death. Dan has successfully argued before the Arizona Court of Appeals.
Dan is also routinely engaged as a private mediator and arbitrator.
For the State Bar of Arizona, Dan presently serves as the co-chair for the Arizona College of Trial Advocacy (an intensive five-day workshop teaching lawyers), as an arbitrator for the Fee Arbitration Program (adjudicating fee disputes between clients and attorneys), and on the Civil Jury Instructions Committee (updating the Revised Arizona Jury Instructions – Civil).
A Pennsylvania native who moved to Arizona in 1984, Dan graduated from Arizona State University in 1992 with a degree in political science and earned his law degree at the University of Nebraska College of Law in 1996.
Dan has earned the AV-Preeminent rating with Martindale-Hubbell®, and is a four-time Super Lawyers honoree.

Paul practices in the areas of significant personal injury, wrongful death, ethics and professional malpractice. He is a partner with Brown, Crowell, and Friedman, PLLC doing business as Accident Law Group™ where is in charge of the firm’s litigation division. He has also litigated LawTiger™ cases since 2022.
He previously served as an Adjunct Professor of Medical and Research Ethics at the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine and has served as an Adjunct Professor since 2020 at the Arizona State University School of Law. Additionally, he authored the manual and taught attorneys and forensic experts in the Certified Forensic Consultant® program with the American College of Forensic Examiners Institute. Paul is a nationally recognized expert and speaker in the area of bioethics and legal ethics.
He represented the State of Arizona in the tobacco case in which he procured a settlement in Arizona in excess of 3 billion dollars. Recently, he received a $58,500,000 jury verdict award in 2019 which is one of the Top 100 verdicts in the United States and a $2,800,000 medical malpractice jury verdict in 2022.
He graduated from the University of Arizona in 1985. He graduated from California Western School of Law in 1989. He received a post-doctoral master’s degree in bioethics in 2004 from the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine. Paul received a doctorate in philosophy involving business, legal and medical ethics at LaCrosse University in 2006.
Paul is admitted to the State Bar of Arizona, the State Bar of Colorado (inactive), the District of Columbia (inactive), the Federal Bar, the United States District Court of Arizona, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.
Paul is rated AV® Preeminent™ (the highest rating) by the prestigious Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory. He was first named as a Superlawyer® in 2007 and Best Lawyers in America© in 2016. He has been listed as a Premiere Lawyer by US News and World Report. In addition, he is a Top 10 Bad Faith, Top 25 Medical Malpractice, and Top 25 Motor Vehicle Attorney.
Paul is a Board Certified Pre-Trial and Civil Trial Specialist by the National Board of Trial Advocacy/National Board of Legal Specialty Certification and is Board Certified by the State Bar of Arizona Board of Legal Specialization in the area of Injury and Wrongful Death Litigation. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Professional Liability Attorneys for Medical Malpractice. Paul is also an Associate with the American Board of Trial Advocates since 2012.

Steven Gross is a litigator and has extensive experience handling complex insurance coverage, professional liability, and catastrophic personal injury defense matters. Mr. Gross serves as national and regional coverage counsel for two large insurance carriers and has appeared in state and federal courts  in Arizona, California, Kansas, Oklahoma, New Jersey, New Mexico, Colorado, Nevada, Alaska, Georgia, Louisiana, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Virginia, South Dakota, South Carolina, North Carolina, Utah, and California. Mr. Gross speaks and writes frequently on insurance law topics and has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America since 2019 in the areas of Insurance and Insurance Litigation.  He is a contributing author for Couch on Insurance 3d, a nationally recognized authoritative treatise on insurance law often recognized and relied upon by courts and attorneys throughout the United States. He is also authored chapter 9 of Practical Tools for Handling Insurance Cases which aims to filter complex insurance coverage issues into an easily readable and digestible format for attorneys across the country and is published by West in 2011. Mr. Gross is one of the two managing authors and editors selected by the Arizona State Bar to create the Arizona Tort Law Handbook which has sold hundreds of copies to lawyers throughout the State of Arizona.  He has published over twenty articles relating to insurance coverage, liability defense, and claims practices including chapter eight of the national Claims Adjuster’s Automobile Liability handbook published by West in 2009.  He has been listed by Southwest Super Lawyers since inception and maintains an AV Preeminent rating with Martindale-Hubbell. Mr. Gross maintains an active CPCU “Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter” certification through The Institutes.
