Christopher Heo is a partner in WSHB’s Phoenix office. He has extensive experience as a litigator, specializing in professional liability (including legal malpractice and medical malpractice), employment discrimination, transportation, products liability, fire loss, and catastrophic injury cases.

Outside of work, Chris is an active member of the Arizona Asian American Bar Association, serving as an Executive Board Member since 2019. He is currently the president for the 2024-2025 term and has previously held positions as vice president (2023-2024), treasurer (2020-2023), and communications coordinator (2019-2020). Additionally, he is a member of the State Bar of Arizona’s Ethics Advisory Group and was part of the Leadership Institute Class of 2022-2023.

Chris is a graduate of the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. During his time there, he participated in the Juvenile Family Justice Clinic and served as president of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association. He also interned at the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office. Upon graduation, he was honored with the Alan A. Matheson Service Award for his outstanding service to the law school.

Prior to attending law school, Chris worked for four years in global logistics as an export booking coordinator for Trans-Pacific shipments. In his leisure time, he enjoys golfing and cheering for the Phoenix Suns and Las Vegas Golden Knights.

Ann Ching is a Clinical Professor of Law at Arizona State University Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law. Prior to this appointment, Professor Ching served as Ethics Counsel for the State Bar of Arizona (2016-2019) and Assistant Professor of Law at Pepperdine University (2013-2015). Professor Ching began her legal career in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps (2001-2012), where she achieved the rank of Major and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for her service in Iraq.

Outside of teaching, Professor Ching serves on the Arizona Supreme Court Ethics Advisory Committee, the State Bar of Arizona Ethics Advisory Group, and as a judge pro tempore for the East Valley Regional Veterans Court. Professor Ching is also Immediate Past President of the Arizona Asian American Bar Association.

Professor Ching is a graduate of the University of Arizona (B.A.), the University of North Carolina (J.D.), the Judge Advocate General’s School of the Army (LL.M.), and Pepperdine University (M.B.A.).
