Description

This program will provide information every attorney should know about Social Security Disability Benefits, Supplemental Security Income, and private Long-term Disability Benefits. In addition to covering the basics, we will address updates regarding the functioning of such appeals processes in the Covid era as well as thoughts on helping individuals who have become unable to sustain work due to long Covid.
 
The program will cover:

 

  • Social Security Disability Benefits basics;
  • Long Covid and the Social Security Disability Appeals process;
  • Long-term Disability Benefit fundamentals and Covid-era updates;
  • The Arizona Center for Disability Law’s programs that assists individuals with barriers to employment and ACDL’s Representative Payee Review program that monitors and educates representative payees on their responsibilities and identifies cases to SSA where it finds that beneficiary funds are being misused.
