As the world becomes more digitized, the law struggles to keep up. This presentation addresses the current state of the law as it relates to preparation and execution of often-used estate planning documents, the expanding use of remote notarization, the expanding asset class of cryptocurrency, and how to advise clients to hold these assets within the structure of their estate plan. Faculty also discuss planning for other digital assets, such as Facebook/ Instagram accounts, email and other digital assets.
