Coconino County Superior Court, Division 1, Judge Ted S. Reed was raised on a homestead in a small community in rural Alaska. He came to Flagstaff to attend Northern Arizona University, where he graduated summa cum laude with an undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology. Judge Reed continued his education at the University of Utah, S.J. Quinney College of Law, where he was an editor of the Utah Law Review and published several articles. Judge Reed graduated at the top of his law school class, summa cum laude, and Order of the Coif. Upon graduating from law school, Judge Reed worked as a felony prosecutor at the Coconino County Attorney’s Office, where he prosecuted cases ranging from drug offenses to sex crimes and homicides. He was the designated prosecutor for the METRO Narcotics Task Force and for child abuse and molestation cases. After four years as a prosecutor, he went into private practice by creating the law firm of Reed, Antol, Hance, P.C. in Flagstaff. While in private practice, he focused on criminal defense and family law cases. He served as a contract public defender in Coconino, Mohave and Yavapai Counties, representing clients in all types of criminal and juvenile delinquency cases. He also served as an attorney in the Family Law Assistance Program, providing free legal assistance to self-represented litigants in all types of family law cases.
Judge Reed taught criminal procedure, criminal law, evidence, mock trial, and constitutional law at NAU from 2005 through 2009 in the Department of Criminal Justice and the U.S. Forest Service Law Enforcement Academy. Judge Reed also served as secretary and vice-president of the Coconino County Bar Association in 2009 and 2010. In January 2011, Judge Reed was appointed as full time Judge Pro Tempore for Superior Court in Coconino County, Division 6. His caseload included family law, juvenile delinquency, and Coconino County Recovery Court. Judge Reed was elected to serve as Superior Court Judge, Division 1, beginning January 2019. His caseload includes criminal, civil, probate, and Coconino County Recovery Court. Judge Reed was appointed as Presiding Judge for Coconino County beginning January 2024. Judge Reed is the chair of the Coconino County Criminal Justice Coordinating Council.
joined the Maricopa County Superior Court in 2011. She currently serves as the Civil Presiding Judge. Danielle previously served as the Arizona Tax Court Judge, the Associate Criminal Presiding Judge, and the Administrative Judge for the Post-Conviction Relief Unit. She is the immediate past chair of the Jury Advisory Committee for the Maricopa County Superior Court, and she currently serves on the Advisory Committee on the Rules of Evidence, the Court Interpreter Program Advisory Committee, and the State Bar Civil Practice and Procedure Committee. Danielle also served as a member of the COVID-19 Continuity of Court Operations During a Public Health Emergency ("Plan B") Workgroup. Before taking the bench, Danielle practiced in the area of commercial litigation at Snell & Wilmer LLP.
Brian Chase is a consultant, expert witness, adjunct professor of law, and attorney. He is the former owner of Chase Technology Consulting, a legal technology consulting firm providing digital forensics and e-discovery expertise. He now serves ArcherHall’s Managing Director of Digital Forensics and eDiscovery.
Mr. Chase has a diverse education and work background. He spent years working as a network administrator for the University of Arizona. He has a Management and Information Systems degree from the Eller College of Management at the University of Arizona, a top ranked program in the country. Mr. Chase went on to earn a law degree, also from the University of Arizona. Before turning to digital forensics, he worked as a trial attorney handling criminal defense and personal injury cases. Mr. Chase has worked as a digital forensics expert for over a decade and has testified over 35 times as an expert in criminal and civil matters ranging from misdemeanors to murder to medical malpractice.
Mr. Chase has published and spoken on various technology related issues impacting law firms as well as parties in the civil and criminal justice system. He teaches various topics regarding law and technology, and digital forensics and evidence, at a variety of legal and technical conferences. He was honored by the Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the Arizona Daily Star with a “Tucson’s 40 Under 40 Award”, which recognizes young leaders who are making an impact in the community with their professional and charitable work.
Janet Linton is a trial attorney with over 17 years of experience in the area of civil litigation, including personal injury, wrongful death, catastrophic injury, legal malpractice, medical malpractice, property damage and commercial litigation.
Janet was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona. She attended Georgetown University and studied abroad at Trinity University in Dublin, Ireland. She earned her undergraduate degree in 2001. She served as a fellow through the Georgetown Public Interest Fellowship Program in Boston for two years. She came back to Tucson to attend the University of Arizona, James E. Rogers School of Law and earned her law degree in 2006.
Janet has been a member of the State Bar of Arizona Civil Practice and Procedure Committee since 2019 to the present. She was the past board chair for Emerge Center against Domestic Abuse, and continues to serve as a board member. She is a former member of the Morris K. Udall Inn of Court.
Janet is admitted to practice in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States District Court and all Arizona state courts. Janet has been named a Super Lawyers Rising Star for from 2012 through 2019 and has received an AV Preeminent ® rating by Martindale-Hubbell.
Amy Hernandez received her law degree in 2003 from Drake University (with Honors). After law school she served as a law clerk at the Arizona Court of Appeals. Ms. Hernandez has served on the Civil Practice & Procedure Committee for the State Bar of Arizona and as the Chair of the State Bar Trial Practice Section. She is a former member of the Morris K. Udall Inn of Court and a former board member for the Arizona Association of Justice. Ms. Hernandez served in the United States Army from 1996 - 2000 as a military intelligence analyst. Ms. Hernandez owns Amy Hernandez Law, PLLC where she focuses her practice on plaintiff’s medical malpractice, legal malpractice, and general personal injury.
