Description

Interested in adding Consumer Protection to your practice area?  Or maybe you just want to learn about credit and the laws that regulate it.

You can learn the basics about the Consumer Reporting Industry (credit reports and background check reports) from a legal expert in the field.  Learn about the Fair Credit Reporting Act and how to protect yourself, your clients and your family from inaccurate consumer reports.  It is estimated that nearly 1 in 5 credit reports has a material inaccuracy. These inaccuracies impact people from all socioeconomic backgrounds.  These mistakes can prevent you or your clients from accessing much needed credit, cause job and housing denials and much more.

The session will also touch on unlawful debt collection practices and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

Speaker
David Chami, Consumer Attorneys
