Description

This 90 minute course is an introduction to the Arizona Residential Landlord and Tenant Act (A.R.S. 33-1301 et seq.).  Community Legal Services staff attorneys will discuss habitability, common landlord tenant issues, and law and procedure for eviction actions, with an emphasis directed towards cases in Justice Courts.  Attendees can expect to learn about:

  • Residential landlord obligations;
  • Tenant responsibilities, rights and remedies;
  • Notices required by the Act; and
  • Defenses and counterclaims in an eviction action.
  • Subsidized and public housing
  • Current procedures of the court and laws during COVID-19
