Description
New to business filings? Join us for an introduction to business filings in Arizona. We will share information that you need to become acquainted with filing on behalf of businesses, including the capacity in which you intend to represent each business. We will describe the relationship between the Arizona Corporation Commission and the Secretary of State, as well as discuss the other agencies (state and federal) that are integral to the comprehensive representation of businesses. We will untangle the various filing types by category (starting, maintaining, and closing) and discuss key components necessary for successful filings. We will also share resources and best practices with you to help new business owners grow, maintain, and protect their business. We will wrap up with an introduction to Arizona Business Connect for all your filing needs.

Tanya M Gibson Related Seminars and Products
is the Deputy Director of the Corporations Division of the Arizona Corporation Commission. She received her J.D. and M.B.A. from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana in 1995. Tanya began her legal career with a mid-sized
insurance defense firm in Chicago where she was a member of the commercial litigation
and employment teams. Tanya also has experience as a consultant for non-litigation
mergers and acquisitions, and financial restatements. Tanya began working with the
Corporations Division in November of 2011. Prior to joining the Corporation Commission, Tanya was an Appeals Board Administrative Law Judge for the Arizona Department of Economic Security, Unemployment Insurance division.
Joey Ordonez Related Seminars and Products
is a seasoned public sector leader with a passion for efficient governance and community impact. After earning degrees from the University of Arizona and Western Governors University, he spent seven years shaping behavioral health policy as Assistant Director of the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners. Since 2020, he’s been driving innovation and operational excellence at the Arizona Corporation Commission as the Assistant Director of the Corporations Division.
